    • It's not pity for Gadaffy.

It's doubt about what comes next being better.

For whatever it's worth, Gadaffy was a secularist and people in Libya seemed to be better off than many elsewhere.

      • Yeah. For all of his faults, Libya did supposedly have an excellent education system.

And the rebels are quite clearly far more religious. I cannot imagine they will be much better.

        • Rebels = tribes that are not in power (Eastern Lybia)

Governement = tribes that are in power. (Westen Lybia)

In Lybia you show allegiance to your tribe. This makes it a tribal war. We should get the **** out if these "rebels" can't organize themselves.

          • Where were you rebellion skeptics when you were cheering on the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt, where muslims have already started murdering Coptics now that Mubarak is gone?

            • Quote me cheering for Egypt's rebels. Even if people here were "cheering" for them, that's a far cry from supporting using their country's military to intervene.

I'm largely of the opinion if it's not genocide/ethnic cleansing, it ain't my concern. That went for Egypt as well. I think we should know better by now than to inject ourselves into middle eastern conflicts and pick sides.

Better yet, can you (HC) quote anybody on this forum who was cheering for the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt?

Israel also just engaged in another act of self-defense by adding more settlements in the west bank, also!
